APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

Aditi’s therapeutic work primarily integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside principles from cognitive science, behavioural psychology and emotional development.

A key area of her work is emotional dysregulation management. She supports clients in understanding why emotions can become overwhelming, recognising patterns and triggers, developing emotional awareness, and building practical strategies that allow them to respond more effectively rather than feeling controlled by emotional intensity.

Her approach is collaborative and individualised, recognising that psychological support needs to make sense within the person’s actual relationships, environment, culture and everyday life.

Her longstanding background in the performing arts also allows her to incorporate creativity, storytelling and expressive techniques where clinically appropriate, particularly with adolescents and individuals who may engage better with approaches beyond conventional talk therapy.

ASSESSMENT & COGNITIVE WORK

Aditi has extensive experience in psychoeducational, cognitive and psychometric assessment, supporting individuals and families in understanding cognitive strengths, learning profiles, neurodevelopmental differences and areas requiring additional support.

RESEARCH & MULTIDISCIPLINARY EXPERIENCE

Aditi’s postgraduate training at King’s College London included exposure to psychiatric and public mental health research, including schizophrenia research and Patient and Public Involvement work.

Her experience in London also involved working within and alongside multidisciplinary mental health and healthcare teams, contributing to her understanding of psychological care as part of a broader system involving psychiatry, medicine, research, families and other professionals.
